What the Merchant Sent in Sealed Jars, and to Whom

Halden,

The consignment departs Serevan this morning on the Amelin Rose, as promised. The seals remain unbroken. The tariff at the Serevan end is settled. All as discussed.

Expect her in your harbor within a fortnight if the winds hold. I have given the harbor clerk your name and no description of the contents — only weight and dimensions for the manifest. The goods arrive entered to you and to no other.

The moment the ship clears harbor, you should receive a copy of the manifest at the Customs Shed. Do not claim the consignment until you have verified the seals are intact. Do not open it until we have further word from here.

Send confirmation by return post that the goods have arrived and that the seals hold. Say nothing of the contents to anyone else.

—M.

Dated the tenth of Dryheat, Year 241, at the harbor of Serevan
